MAIN FEATURES

The new six speed gearbox, designed by Moto Guzzi, is
much more precise during gear engagement, is less noisy
than the previous version and has a reduced lever stroke.
The gearbox housing is smaller and has a different shape
compared to the previous one, as it must hold four shafts.
These are: a main shaft, two secondary shafts, each of
which is fitted with a set of three gearings, and a
transmission shaft with flexible couplings. The latter drives
the rear wheel through two universal joints and a bevel
gear pair.
Other important data concerning the gearbox and the
disassembly steps as well as overhauling and reassembly
are reported below.
