LYWHEEL
The flywheel is fitted on the crankshaft on the opposite
side to the alternator; the clutch is housed inside it.
Disassembly:
•
Remove the engine unit from the motorbike following
the instructions described in chapter 2 in this section.
•
Remove the clutch, as described in chapter 6 in this
section;
•
Position the locking tool "A" (code 12 91 18 01) on the
flywheel"C" as illustrated in the figure;
•
Unscrew the 6 screws "B" fastening the flywheel to the
crankshaft;
•
Remove the flywheel "C".
N.B.
Screws "B" must be replaced with new ones upon
the following reassembly, due to the high load
and stresses they are subject to; (apply thread
locking product, Loctite, medium strength, to the
screws and tighten to torques of Nm 40 ÷ 42).
Reassembly:
•
Carry out the procedures in reverse order.
N.B.
Respect the positioning reference marks "D".
