7. Slide the side cover toward the rear of the unit about 1 inch (2.5 cm);
then remove the cover.

Accessing the Processor
The ProLiant 5500 server is shipped with one processor module and three
terminator boards which fill all of the processor sockets. When adding
processors, first remove the terminator board and then install the processor and
Processor Power Module (PPM).
For use with Intel Pentium II Xeon processor-based servers only
