The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) enables your server to provide IP addresses as
clients need them instead of manually assigning addresses to client computers.

18.1 Installing DHCP Basic

To start DHCP component install, click on Install under Available Components. Next decide if you
would like the Basic or Advanced installation. The Basic installation installs a DHCP server with
default parameters for your network. Installation instructions will start with Basic, followed by
Advanced.
1 Click Install under Available Components.
2 Click Basic, then click Next.
3 Confirm that the default settings for DHCP configuration are appropriate, then click Next.
