Remote Desktop (TightVNC)

TightVNC, or Virtual Network Computing, is a graphical desktop sharing software that allows a
user to remotely control another computer. It transmits local keyboard and mouse events and
movements to the remote host, thus allowing the user to control a remote computer from a local one.

20.1 Installing TightVNC Basic
To start the component download section, click Install on the TightVNC row. The installation
process for TightVNC only requires a basic installation. There are not any advanced features to
configure.
1 Click Install on the TightVNC row.
2 Select Basic, then click Next.
3 Review the settings. To make a change, click Back. To proceed with the installation, click Next.
4 The TightVNC installation is now complete. Click Finish to proceed to the Add/Remove
Software page. TightVNC is now listed on the installed software list.
