Dynamic Local User enables you to authenticate to Windows by using your Novell
User ID through LDAP, which gives you a single place to manage and synchronize user IDs and
passwords.

16.1 Installing DLU Basic
1 Click Install under Available Components.
2 Configure your DLU LDAP settings.
LDAP User Container: Specify the LDAP user container. For example, if your user context is
cn=jdoe, ou=users, o=mycompany, then your LDAP user container is ou=users,o=mycompany.
16.2 Installing DLU Advanced
1 Click Install under Available Components.
2 Select Advanced, then click Next.
3 Configure your DLU LDAP settings.
LDAP Naming Attribute: Specify the LDAP Naming Attribute. For example, if your
user context is cn=jdoe, ou=users, o=mycompany, then your LDAP Naming Attribute is
cn.
LDAP User Container: Specify the LDAP User Container. For example, if your user
context is cn= jdoe, ou= users, o=mycompany, then your LDAP User Container is
ou=users,o=mycompany.
LDAP Server IP: Specify the IP address of your LDAP server.
Secure Connection: Specify port 636 to ensure that the authentication method is secure
LDAP.
4 Review the settings. To make a change, click Back. To proceed with the installation, click Next.
