TightVNC, or Virtual Network Computing, is a graphical desktop-sharing software that allows a
user to remotely control another computer. It transmits local keyboard and mouse events and
movements to the remote host, allowing the user to control a remote computer from a local one.

20.1 Installing TightVNC Basic
1 Click Add/Remove > All. Scroll down to TightVNC and click Install.
2 Select Basic, then click Next.
3 Review the settings. To make a change, click Back. To proceed with the installation, click Next.
4 The TightVNC installation is now complete. Click Finish to proceed to the available software
page. TightVNC is now listed on the installed software list.
20.2 Installing TightVNC Advanced
1 Click Add/Remove > All. Scroll down to TightVNC and click Install.
2 Select Advanced, then click Next.
3 Specify advanced service options.
Automatically Start Service: Indicate here if the service should start automatically.
Connection Password: Set a password for admistrator (root) VNC connections.
4 Review the settings. To make a change, click Back. To proceed with the installation, click Next.
5 The TightVNC installation is now complete. Click Finish to proceed to the available software
page. TightVNC is now listed on the installed software list.
