select each other out of their familiar Address Books. Addressing is not an issue under these
circumstances.
If you do not want to enable directory synchronization and exchange, you must use other
addressing alternatives:

Adding Individual Notes Users to the GroupWise Address Book

If there are some specific Notes users who you want to appear in the GroupWise Address Book,
you can add those individual users without enabling directory synchronization and exchange. You
add Notes users to the GroupWise Address Book by defining them as external users and then
specifying the explicit addresses required to route messages to them in the Notes system.
Now that you have enabled directory exchange and synchronization, Notes users will be
added to these external post offices as external GroupWise users.

Make sure that Outbound Conversion is set to None.
Click OK.
ConsoleOne passes the directory synchronization and exchange information to the Notes
Gateway so that it can start transferring user information. The larger the Address Books are,
the longer the process takes.
If you edited the notes.cfg file in
the updated startup file.
Notes users appear in ConsoleOne because External Users objects are created in the External
Post Office objects that represent Notes domains.
Notes users appear in the GroupWise Address Book because they have External User objects
in the GroupWise system.
GroupWise users appear in a new Notes version of the GroupWise Address Book because the
Notes Gateway creates the
