manageable in Layer2 and Layer3 roaming scenarios in both static and dynamic environments.

Assigning Dynamic MAC address for Universal Workgroup Bridge

The universal workgroup bridge is configured using the command station-role workgroup-bridge
universal xx.xx.xx. The "xx.xx.xx" is the MAC address of the client. When you enable the Dynamic
MAC address assignment, the universl workgroup bridge will find the MAC address of the client
dynamically. For enabling Dynamic MAC address assignment, change the command to station-role
workgroup-bridge universal. When the user does not provide the MAC address, by default it takes the
dynamic MAC address assignment.
Note
This feature is supported only on Cisco 3200 2.4-GHz card.
World Mode (2.4 GHz Radio Only)
2.4 GHz radios support 802.11d world mode or Cisco legacy world mode. When world mode is enabled,
the wireless device adds channel carrier set information to its beacon. Client devices with world mode
enabled receive the carrier set information and automatically adjust their settings.
For example, a client device used mainly in Japan could rely on world mode to adjust its channel and
power settings automatically when it travels to Italy and joins a network there. Cisco client devices
running firmware version 5.30.17 or later detect whether the wireless device is using 802.11d world
mode or Cisco legacy world mode and automatically use the world mode that matches the mode used by
the wireless device. World mode is disabled by default.

Purpose
Configure a routing protocol to advertise the
static network to other routers, so that this
network is reachable from outside.
The universal workgroup bridge can be
Note
in roaming state and to support inter
subnet roaming, generally configure
one of the MARC roaming interfaces
with DHCP. This interface will receive
a DHCP given IP address. Since this IP
address is reachable from outside,
advertise the static IP network (created
to support manageability) through this
interface.
Note
The IP addresses and VLAN tags
shown are for example only. The user
can configure any IP address or VLAN
tag of his choice.
