4.2.2.1 Laser Information
Warning
Laser Radiation. Do not use optical instruments directly or without appropriate protection. This is a
CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT.
Only class 1 SFP modules compliant with the IEC/EN 60825-1:2007 standard should be installed in the
card socket.
Note
Be careful when removing the SFP/SFP+ transceiver module from the router, The transceiver module
temperature might go over 70 °C (160 °F) and be too hot to touch with bare hands.
4.2.3 Nessum Connection
The Regesta Smart v2 Nessum features a High-Definition Power Line Communication (HD-PLC, now known as Nes-
sum) interface, allowing seamless communication with compatible Nessum devices via power lines or coaxial cables.
Depending on the model, the Nessum signal can be injected through either the power supply connector or two BNC
connectors. In low-voltage models, the signal is injected directly into the power line through the device's power con-
nector.
An LED labeled 'P' indicates the connection status.
Regesta Smart v2 Nessum
Ensure that the SFP transceivers you choose comply with the following regula-
tions:
• Class 1
• IEC/EN60825-1:2007 2nd Edition or any later European standard
• FCC 21 CFR Chapter 1, Subchapter J (in accordance with FDA and CDRH re-
quirements)
• 2014/30/EU EMC Directive and the 2014/35/EU Low Voltage Directive for CE
marking
• UL and/or CSA certified components for North American use
• 47 CFR Part 15, Class A
