Install the drive in an open bay in the drive cage. Be sure that the drive
connectors are facing the inside of the chassis when reinstalled.

Align the hard disk drive mounting holes with the mounting holes in the device
cage (see Figure Section 3-30).
Secure the drive in the drive cage with the four screws (two on each side)

provided with the drive.

IDE Hard Disk Drive Cabling
Either of the IDE hard disk drive signal cable connectors may be used for the hard disk
drives. The hard disk drives are configured by jumpers as master (drive C) and slave (drive
D). The hard disk drive connectors are identified in Figure Section 3-31.
Cable the hard disk drive as follows.
Locate the IDE hard disk signal cable and connect it as follows (see Figure
1.
Section 3-31).

If this is the first hard disk drive, locate the signal cable that came with the
hard disk drive kit. Plug one end of the cable into the system board's PCI-bus
IDE connector (see Appendix B for connector locations.) Plug the other end
into the signal connector on the hard disk drive.
