6.3 Other features and modes
6.3.1 Startup and Defrost Modes
A Startup mode allows the valve to open faster on start-up to avoid any unwanted low-pressure situation. EKE 1x
controllers implements 3 di erent modes for startup, and one sequence for startup.

The controller is programmed for auto proportional control that will quickly Change the opening degree based on
the superheat of the system. The proportional control is active during the Minimum start time set by the user, and
until the Super heat crosses the reference.
WARNING:
If SH didn't cross the Superheat reference after the minimum stop time(N104), the Proportional control will stop
after the start time(N105), set by the user.
