Release and remove the two screws (7).

Release and remove the two screws (8).
CAUTION
Pay attention to the fixing tab clips.
They might come loose during removal.
◆
Pull the front cover (9) gently to remove.
CAUTION
Ensure that the tabs with the clips
locate correctly into their seats on
refitting.

Place the vehicle on the centre stand.
◆
Remove the rear-view mirrors, see page
50 (REMOVING THE REAR-VIEW
MIRRORS).
◆
Remove the front cover, see page 50
(REMOVING THE FRONT COVER).
◆
Release and remove the two screws (1)
securing the windshield to the vehicle.
◆
Remove the windhsield (2).

Adjust idle speed whenever it seems
erratic.
Adjust as follows:
◆
Travel several kilometres to warm
e n g i n e u p t o n o r m a l o p e r a t i n g
temperature, see coolant temperature
indicator ≈ ∆, page 13 (INSTRUMENTS
AND INDICATORS TABLE), and then
stop the engine.
◆
Place the vehicle on the centre stand.
◆
Remove the right inspection cover, see
page 49 (REMOVING THE RIGHT AND
LEFT INSPECTION COVERS)
