INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

WARNING
Check the vehicle before each ride to
ensure safe riding. See the chart at the
side (PRE-RIDE CHECKS CHART).
Failure to do so may lead to severe
injury or vehicle damage.
If you are not clear about the operation
of the vehicle controls or believe that
any vehicle components might be
malfunctioning, do not hesitate to
contact an aprilia Official Dealer.
A quick check is done in no time, but
does wonders for your safety.

PRE-RIDE CHECKS CHART

Part
Front and rear disk brakes Check for proper operation. Check brake lever free play and
brake fluid level. Check for leaks and brake pad wear. Top up
brake fluid level if needed.
Brake levers Make sure they move smoothly.
Lubricate the joints, if necessary.
Throttle Ensure that it turns smoothly. The throttle should open and
close fully at all positions of the steering.
Adjust and/or lubricate, if necessary.
Engine oil Check and top up as required.
Wheels/tyres Check tyre surface, inflation pressures. Check for wear or
damage.
Steering Steering should rotate smoothly and evenly. There should be
no play or looseness.
Side stand and centre The stand should operate smoothly and snap back in the rest
stand position. Lubricate joints and connections, if necessary.
Fasteners Fasteners Make sure the fasteners are properly tightened.
Adjust or tighten as required.
Fuel tank Check fuel level and refuel if low. Check for leaks or
blockages in the fuel system. Make sure the filler cap is
tightened securely.
Coolant Coolant level in the expansion tank must be between the
≈MIN∆ and ≈MAX∆ marks.

Lights, warning lights, Check sound and visual devices for proper operation. Change
h o r n a n d e l e c t r i c a l bulbs or fix a failure, if necessary.
