Problem
The system freezes or the screen goes
dark.
The system never goes into a power
saving mode.
I am trying to uninstall a driver (e.g. the
Intel Graphics driver) but it does not
appear in the Programs and Features
control panel in Windows.
Gaming performance is slow.
The Wireless LAN/Bluetooth modules
cannot be detected.
The Webcam module cannot be detected.
Possible Cause - Solution
The system's power saving features have timed-out. Use the AC/DC adapter,
press the sleep (Fn + F12) key combination, or press the power button if no
LEDs are lit.
Power Options features are not enabled. Go to the Windows Power Options
menu and enable the features you prefer (see
13). Make sure you have enabled Hibernate mode from the control
page 3 -
panel.
If this is the case, the driver will need to be removed from the Device
Manager. Not all driver installation processes create an entry in Add or Remove
Programs. If it does not appear in the Programs and Features Control Panel, go
to Device Manager, select the hardware item (you may need to click on it to
expand the sub-menu), right-click the driver name, and select uninstall device
> Uninstall. Follow the on-screen instructions and then re-install the driver as
required.
It is recommended that you use Maximum fan speed when playing games.
Use the Fn + 1 key combination to adjust the fan speed.
The modules are off as the computer is in Airplane Mode. Go to the Charms
Bar and select Settings and then click the WiFi icon (Airplane mode should be
Off).
The module is off. Press the Fn + F10 key combination in order to enable the
module (see
"Function/Hot Key Indicators" on page 1 -
application to view the webcam picture.
