Audyssey MultEQ XT correction is active (see page 58).
■ Dynamic EQ
"Audyssey MultEQ XT" and "Dynamic EQ" becomes
active (see page 58).
■ Dynamic Vol(Light)
"Audyssey MultEQ XT", "Dynamic EQ", and
"Dynamic Volume (Light Compression Mode)"
becomes active (see page 58).
This setting prevents loud and soft sounds from being
much louder and softer respectively than average
sounds.
■ Dynamic Vol(Heavy)
"Audyssey MultEQ XT", "Dynamic EQ", and
"Dynamic Volume (Heavy Compression Mode)"
becomes active.
This setting affects volume the most, causing all sounds
to be of equal loudness.

Use the Down [w] button to select
"Channel", and then use the Left
and Right [e]/[r] buttons to
select a speaker.
You can select: "Front", "Center", "Sur-
round", "SurrBack", or "Subwoofer".

Use the Up and Down [q]/[w] but-
tons to select a frequency, and
then use the Left and Right
[e]/[r] buttons to adjust the
level at that frequency.
You can select: "25Hz", "40Hz", "63Hz",
"100Hz", "160Hz", "250Hz", "400Hz",
"630Hz", "1000Hz", "1600Hz",
"2500Hz", "4000Hz", "6300Hz",
"10000Hz", or "16000Hz". And for the
subwoofer, "25Hz", "40Hz", "63Hz",
"100Hz", or "160Hz".
The volume at each frequency can be
adjusted from –6 to +6 dB in 1 dB
steps.
Tip:
Low frequencies (e.g., 160Hz) affect
bass sounds; high frequencies (e.g.,
6300Hz) affect treble sounds.

Use the Up and Down [q]/[w] but-
tons to select "Channel", and
then use the Left and Right
[e]/[r] buttons to select another
speaker.
Repeat steps 6 and 7 for each speaker.

Press the [SETUP] button.
The setup menu closes.
Notes:
• When the listening mode is set to Direct or Pure
Audio, no effect will be produced.
• The Equalizer settings have no effect on 176.4/
192 kHz input signals.
• This procedure can also be performed on the AV con-
troller by using its [SETUP] button, arrow buttons,
and [ENTER] button.
