instructions.
Read the instructions carefully before installing.
The design and manufacturing of the devices that
make up the product and the information contained
in this manual comply with current safety regula-
tions. Nonetheless, incorrect installation and pro-
gramming can cause serious injuries to the people
carrying out the work and those who will use the
system. For this reason, during installation, it is im-

manual.
Do not proceed with the installation if you have any
doubts and request any clarifications from the Key Auto-

According to European legislation, the creation of
an automatic door or automatic gate must comply
with the standards established by Directive 2006/42/
EC (Machinery Directive) and in particular, the EN
12453 standards; EN 12635 and EN 13241-1, which
allow the automation to be declared compliant.
In consideration of this, the definitive connection of the
automation to the electrical network, the testing of the
system, its commissioning and periodic maintenance
must be carried out by qualified and expert personnel,
respecting the instructions given in the "Testing and
commissioning" box. automation service".
Furthermore, he will also have to take responsibility for
establishing the tests envisaged according to the risks
present and will have to verify compliance with the pro-
visions of laws, rules and regulations: in particular, com-
pliance with all the requirements of the EN 12453 stan-
dard which establishes the methods of test to verify door
and gate automation.
WARNING !
Before starting the installation, carry out the fol-
lowing analyzes and checks:
verify that the individual devices intended for automation
are suitable for the system to be created. In this regard,
check the data given in the "Technical characteristics"
paragraph with particular attention. Do not carry out the
installation if even one of these devices is not suitable
for use;
check whether the devices purchased are sufficient to
guarantee the safety of the system and its functionality;
carry out the risk analysis which must also include the
6
list of essential safety requirements reported in Annex I
of the Machinery Directive, indicating the solutions adop-
ted. The risk analysis is one of the documents that make
up the automation technical file. This must be completed
by a professional installer.
Considering the risk situations that may occur du-
ring the installation and use phases of the product, it
is necessary to install the automation observing the
following warnings:
do not carry out modifications to any part of the automa-
tion other than those foreseen in this manual. Operations
of this type can only cause malfunctions. The manufac-
turer declines all responsibility for damage resulting from
arbitrarily modified products;
prevent the parts of the automation components from
being immersed in water or other liquid substances. Du-
ring installation, prevent liquids from penetrating inside
the devices present;
if the power cable is damaged it must be replaced by
the manufacturer or its technical assistance service or in
any case by a person with similar qualifications in order
to prevent any risk;
If liquid substances penetrate inside the parts of the au-
tomation components, immediately disconnect the po-
wer supply and contact the Key Automation Assistance
Service. Using the automation in these conditions can
cause dangerous situations;
do not place the various components of the automation
near heat sources or expose them to open flames. Such
actions may damage them and cause malfunctions, fire
or dangerous situations;
WARNING !
The unit must be disconnected from the power
source during cleaning, maintenance and replace-
ment of components. If the disconnection device is
not visible, affix a sign with the following wording:
"MAINTENANCE IN PROGRESS":
the product can only be used after the "commissioning"
of the automation has been carried out, as provided for
in the paragraph "Testing and commissioning of the au-
tomation";
provide a disconnection device in the system's power
supply network with a contact opening distance that al-
lows complete disconnection in the conditions dictated
by overvoltage category III;
for the connection of rigid and flexible pipes or cable
glands, use fittings compliant with the IP55 protection
degree or higher;
the electrical system upstream of the automation must
