Troubleshooting

The Eaton 9A is designed for reliable, autonomous operation while providing you with noti-
fications and alerts whenever a potential operational or performance issues occur.
Usually, the alarms shown by the product do not mean that the output power is affected.
Instead, they are preventive alarms intended to alert the user.
• Some alarms may be announced by a beep every 0.5 seconds. Example = "Battery low".
• Faults are announced by a continuous beep and LCD background transfer to red color.
Use the following troubleshooting chart to determine the UPS alarm condition.

7.1 Typical alarms and faults

If the UPS system does not operate correctly, check the operating status on the LCD display.

If the UPS system does not operate correctly, please attempt to solve the problem using
the table below.

to mains power supply.

LCD, even though the power
supply is available.

LCD, and audible alarm sounding
every 1 beep in every 4 seconds.

Check building wiring socket outlet and input
cable.
Press "On" Switch.
Switching to battery mode automatically.
Check input power source and inform dealer if
necessary.
