EBM Connection When you connect the EBM to the UPS, a small amount of arcs may be produced. This is normal and will not cause personal injury. Please quickly plug the EBM cable into the EBM port of the UPS. Plug the EBM cable into the battery connection port.

HotSwap MBP module usage The HotSwap MBP comes with a knob with two gears: Normal: The load power is supplied by the UPS and the indicator is on. Bypass: The load power is directly supplied by the AC power source and the indicator is on.

Relay-MS card 4.3 Eaton Intelligent Power Software suite Eaton Intelligent Power Manager can be downloaded from eaton.com/downloads. The software provides up-to-date graphs of UPS power data and energy flow. It also provides a complete record of important power events and reminds you of important information about the UPS and power source.

5.8 Configuration Battery Settings Auto Battery Detection Auto Battery Detection will be performed once a week in Constant Voltage Charge mode or per cycle in ABM Charge mode. The inspection period can be modified. During the test, the UPS will switch to Battery mode and discharge the battery for 10 seconds with load.
However, Eaton suggests you charge the battery for 48 hours after storing for a long period of time. Please check the battery charge date on the carton label. However, Eaton suggests you do not use the UPS if the date has elapsed and that the battery has never been charged. Please contact your local service representative.
• For the purpose of battery replacement, use batteries or a battery pack of the same model and quantity. Please contact your Eaton service representative to order new batteries. • Used and waste batteries shall be disposed of properly. Please refer to your local regulations for disposal requirements.

To replace the battery pack: Remove the center cover from the front panel. Push the left cover to the right. Open the left cover. You will find a flat cable connecting to the UPS on the LCD control panel. Do not pull or disconnect the flat cable.
UPS Replacement - HotSwap MBP module configured The HotSwap MBP module enables UPS servicing or even replacement without powering off the load. Maintenance Set the switch to the "Bypass" position. The red LED indicator on the HotSwap MBP lights up, indicating that the load is directly powered by the AC input power supply.
Troubleshooting The Eaton 9PX supports long-term autonomous operation and issues warnings in the event of potential problems. In general, an alarm displayed on the control panel does not mean that the output power is affected, but is a preventive alarm to alert the user.
