13.1

General Safety Instructions during Maintenance and Repair

Maintenance and repair may only be carried out by authorized personnel with reference to
these Operating Instructions.

13.2

General maintenance work

The following work must be carried out during the maintenance slot:
 Internal maintenance of the device: Clean the floor of the device and remove any lime
residue.
 Exterior maintenance of the device: Clean the cover with a damp cloth, rub dry, and
then treat with Chromol stainless steel cleaner, for example.
 Console: Clean the canister base.
Carry out the maintenance work on important components and safety equipment in
accordance with the maintenance table (see chapter 13.2.1).

Because of the risk of chemical burns, the prescribed protective clothing (safety
goggles, safety gloves, apron) must be worn during all service and repair work on parts
that come into contact with dangerous products and supply containers.
Safety regulations covering the handling of chemicals must always be observed.
Before carrying out repair work on parts that carry product and water (for example, the
solenoid valve), you must close the angle valve and release the pressure on the device.
The
button must be pressed for this.
Prior to any repair work, the device is to be de-energized by isolating it from the
mains and is to be secured to ensure that it cannot be switched back on.
Electrical repairs may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Live parts may be uncovered when opening covers or removing parts (with the
exception of covers that can be opened or parts that can be removed without
using tools). Connecting parts can also be live.
Only original equipment spare parts may be used for repairs.
You must observe the specified maintenance intervals to ensure the operational safety
and functions of the
DG
the first maintenance slot, and the period of time between two maintenance slots, must
not exceed 12 months.
