Connections

7.2.1

Water connection

The following instructions must be observed in order to ensure that the metering unit
functions smoothly.
The enclosed angle valve and integrated dirt trap must be installed in the water inlet pipe so
that the water infeed can be interrupted if errors occur and to protect the device from dirt.
The temperature of the water feed may not exceed 30 °C.
At temperatures above these values, a thermostatic mixer tap must be connected.
Water quality:
The water flow pressure must be at least 0.1 MPa (1 bar) and must not exceed 0.7 Mpa
(7 bar). If the water flow pressure is greater than 0.4 MPa (4 bar),
we recommend that you install a pressure reducing valve in the water inlet pipe.
The additional supply pack contains the following items for the water connection:
• 1 off squeeze connection, G½ on D10 mm
(suitable for the connection of a CU pipe, ∅ 10 x 1)
• 1 angle control valve with dirt trap, G1/2-D10, chrome-plated copper
You connect up the water pipe as follows:
 Connect the angle valve to the on-site water supply.
 Connect the connection line to the angle valve.
 Connect the connection line to the unit with the squeeze connection fitting.
 Attach the swivel spout to the lower side of the unit.
