2. Unit description

2.1. Overview

The basic purpose of this inverter is to convert the direct current generated by the three photovoltaic arrays (for
INGECON SUN 30TL M3) or the four photovoltaic arrays (for INGECON SUN 50TL M4) to alternating current to
feed into the electricity grid.
Additionally, its purpose is to find the maximum power points of these photovoltaic arrays and comply with the
minimum requirements for the different electricity grid support regulations.
The power structure of these inverters achieves a high performance with a flat curve, minimizing the cost and
weight of the inverter.
These inverters do not have a transformer for the connection of PV arrays isolated from the electricity grid.
Some of the main characteristics of these inverters:
• String current measurement.
• DC switch.
• Type-2 AC and DC surge arresters.
These inverters have the following maximum power point trackers at the DC input. The connection uses quick
connectors.
