In the following figures the number of selection buttons according to the model are
indicated:
A ARGOS 21, 35 selection buttons plus refund button.
B ARGOS 15 and ARGOS 11, 19 selection buttons plus refund button.
C ARGOS 7, 11 selection buttons plus refund button.

1.1.3. - Electronic System.

The electronic system is made up of printed circuit cards distributed over the case
and door. There is a control (master) board situated in the case, which controls all
the machine's operations, the programming of options and the counting of products
and coins, the extractors, together with the communication with the coin mechanism
and with the other peripherals. Communication with the coin mechanism X-10 and
with the peripherals takes place under JOFEMAR protocol.
By peripherals we understand the following:
Display: Informs the control card when channels are pressed and shows the
messages sent by the control card on the display.
Escrow: Controls the movements of the escrow and the reading of the anti-
thread kit.
External change tube: Provides the change required by the control card.
Double-turn extractors: these extract special products (lighters, matches).
Up to 6 extractors of this type can be included.

1.1.4. - Coin Mechanism.

The coin mechanism used is the compact X-10 (for further information see section 7.-
Introduction to model X-10).

1.1.5. - Exterior change tube.

The exterior change tubes extend the capacity of change of the machine. All the
Argos machines come out equiped with one exterior change tube, a wide range of
diameters exists for different types of coins. (for further information see programming
mode 31 PROGRAMMING EXTERIOR CHANGER TUBES).

1.1.6. - Capacity of the external change tube.

The lenght of the external change tubes is 610 mm, the number of coins that can
contain an external tube depends of the coin thickness. For example, if the thickness
of one coin is 1,5mm, the number of the coins in one external tube is 405.
