4-22 Setting up Network Servers
If you have already installed the DocuColor 40 CP printer files on the computer you
are using as a Windows NT 4.0 print server, use the following procedure to share the
DocuColor 40 CP.

1. Click Start>Settings>Printers to open the Printers window.
2. Select the DocuColor 40 CP.
3. Open the Properties dialog box (right-mouse click and choose Properties) and click
the Sharing tab.
4. Select Shared and enter a share name for the DocuColor 40 CP.
Use a DOS-compliant share name if your network includes Windows for Workgroups
clients. Use a name that indicates the DocuColor 40 CP queue if you wish to publicize
that information.
5. In the Alternate Drivers window, select all operating systems used by client worksta-
tions from which the print server will accept print jobs.
6. Click OK.

Setting up another printer

If more than one DocuColor 40 CP print connection is published (for example, if
both the Print queue and the Hold queue are published), you may wish to create a
printer for each printing connection so that you and other users can print to each
queue directly.

1. Click Start>Settings>Printers to open the Printers window, and then double-click Add
Printer.
2. Using the instructions in "Setting up printing with Windows NT 4.0" in Getting
Started, install another copy of the DocuColor 40 CP printer files.
When prompted to specify the printer name, you may want to enter a name that indi-
cates the printer's queue.
