12. Preparation for Use
12.1
Position the optional wireless foot pedal for use, ensuring that the floor is level.
12.2
Ensure that the outer sheath has been sterilized according to the Infection Control Procedures (Section 8).
12.3
When it is sufficiently charged, insert the cordless handpiece inner module into a Disposa-Shield
Ensure that the nose of the cordless handpiece inner module completely clears the opening of the Disposa-Shield
disposable barrier.
PRECAUTION: Do not install the covered cordless handpiece inner module into the outer sheath without ensuring
the Disposa-Shield
disposable barrier is clear of the cordless handpiece inner module nose. Do NOT apply the

Disposa-Shield
disposable barrier to the outer sheath, which must be sterilized before each use.

The Polyethylene Barrier does not replace cleaning and disinfection of the dental instruments. Please clean and
disinfect dental instruments after each patient as described by the instrument manufacturer.
12.4
Install the cordless handpiece inner module into
the outer sheath by aligning the angle on each and
snapping in place.
12.5
Attach a Nupro Freedom
to the cordless handpiece by aligning the swoops on
each and snapping in place.
12.6
Verify that all parts of the cordless handpiece are
securely attached before use.
Functional Light Description
Ready to Sync:
Mode Indicator and bottom Charge Indicator on cordless handpiece and Sync Indicator
on top of selected foot pedal will blink Blue
Sync was successful:
Mode Indicator and bottom Charge Indicator on cordless handpiece will blink Green
Sync was not successful:
Mode Indicator and bottom Charge Indicator on cordless handpiece will blink Orange
