Installing and Replacing Other Components
You can use Voyager, the command-line interface (CLI), or Lynx to create and
delete mirror sets.
For more information about disk mirroring, including configuration details,
see the Voyager Reference Guide and the Getting Started Guide and Release
Notes. To order a second disk-drive unit, see the additional information that is
included with the unit.

Installing and Replacing the Disk-Drive Unit

The appliance ships with one or two disk-drive units. If the appliance has only
one disk-drive unit installed, it is in the slot on the right (slot A). You can add
a second disk-drive unit, if necessary, on the left (slot B) or replace the disk-
drive unit in slot A.
Caution
Before you begin the procedures in this section, review the
Procedures"
Note
If you do not turn the appliance off before you replace a disk-drive unit,
the operating system will not operate properly after you replace the drive.
To install or replace a disk-drive unit
1. If you are installing a mirror drive into slot B, remove the empty carrier
from the slot.
2. Cut the cable tie that attaches the cable ends to the carrier to allow the
cables to be plugged into the new hard drive.
