Installing and Replacing
Network Interface Cards
You can install additional network interface cards (NICs) into empty cPCI
slots on the appliance and replace cards already in these slots.
This chapter explains how to install NICs. Before you install a specific NIC,
read the information in
for information specific to the NIC you are installing.
Warning
Protect the appliance and NICs from static discharge by ensuring that you
are properly grounded before you touch these components.
Warning
When you handle a NIC, be careful not to damage the EMI shield on its
top edge.
