    CONNECTING OTHER MANUFACTURERS’ PLASMA CUTTERS The Eastwood Versa-Cut 4’ X 4’ CNC Plasma Table may be used with other manufacturers’ plasma cutters if they feature blowback (low frequency) start. The following section describes the inputs required by the Plasma Table for control of the plasma cutter. Consult your plasma cutter manufacturer or a licensed elec- trician on how to connect your plasma cutter to the Plasma Table.

    • Connect 120 VAC power to the table. Use the Control Box switch to Offset Torch mounting power the table. Once the Eastwood logo is loaded on the screen press any key to continue. • Controls are covered in detail later, but if needed, use the arrow keys to jog the torch over a slat or workpiece.

    Extensive in-house, R&D research was done to make sure the Eastwood Plasma Cutting Fluid is completely safe for usage and fully effective. For the Waterbed on the Eastwood Versa-Cut 4’ X 4’ CNC Plasma Table, add 5 gallons [18.93 liters] and then fill the rest of the table with water to get the right solution. As the fluid evaporates out over time, it can be topped off with water.

    H Number and letter keypad is mostly used for setting entry and file naming. SHIFT is a modifier key that when pressed toggles the letter/number combo keys to the alternate character.     • If sheets are frequently being loaded to the table or other equipment is being operated nearby, inspect the wiring harnesses regularly. Damaged wiring could cause degraded or erratic performance and present a fire hazard. Discontinue use immediately and contact Eastwood for replacement harnesses if damaged wiring is noticed.

    ARC VOLTS - Arc volts is the measured voltage drop across the arc, which is useful for controlling height. The Torch Height Controller (THC) will attempt to keep the arc volts at Set Arc; the optimal range will vary slightly depending on the plasma cutter used. For the Eastwood Versa-Cut 40 CNC Plasma Cutter it is between 98-115.
