• The rated capacity of the hauling trailer or truck must be more than the
weight of the vehicle and load plus 1000 lbs. (454 kg). See VEHICLE
SPECIFICATIONS on page 59 for the weight of the vehicle.
1.
Drive the vehicle onto the trailer or truck.
2.
Turn the key to the OFF position. To prevent loss of the key,
remove it from the ignition switch.
3.
Secure the seats.
4.
Secure the vehicle to the trailer or truck with tie downs,
straps or ropes.

Towing the Vehicle

NOTICE
Only tow the vehicle for recovery purposes. Before
towing, turn the key switch to N and move the run/
tow switch to the TOW position. Ensure brakes and
steering are operable.
Always have a person driving the vehicle to steer and
operate brakes when it is being towed. Do not tow the
vehicle above 5 mph (8 kph). Failure to abide by these
instructions could cause harm to vehicle and per-
sons involved.
This vehicle is equipped with an automatic parking brake.
When the vehicle is stopped, the parking brake is auto-
matically set. The IntelliBrake™ releases when the vehi-
cle is in F or R and the accelerator is pressed. The
IntelliBrake™ is also released when the run/tow switch is
in the TOW position with the key in N.
