Muting a call

About this task
While on a call, you can mute the microphone of your phone so that the other party cannot hear
you.
Before you begin
You need to contact your phone administrator to configure this feature.
Procedure
1. Press Mute during a call so that the other person on the call cannot hear you.
2. Press Mute again to unmute the call.
Note:
If a call is on mute and you switch between the handset, headset, or speakerphone,
the mute is turned off.
The Mute button light is on when you mute the call, and the top line displays the Mute
icon.

Putting a call on hold

Procedure
1. Press Phone to view the main Phone screen, if necessary.
2. Select the active line you want to put on hold.
3. Press Hold.
Note:
The phone might display a hold timer when you put a call on hold.
4. Press Resume, OK button, or the line button of the held call to retrieve the call.

Contacts

Using the contacts feature

You can save up to 250 names and up to 3 telephone numbers for each name.
Note:
When you press the Contacts button you might not see all of the functions that are described
in this chapter. The functions are not available because your administrator has disabled
changes to Contacts.
