parts and seals
internal
clearances
in the compression
chamber.
The
oil suction
line is connected
at the bottom
of the oil
reservoir.
Air pressure
in the oil reservoir
forces
oil through
the oil cooler,
thermostatic
mixing
valve
oil filter, and into
the compressor
main
oil gallery.
The
oil passes
through
internal
passages
for lubrication
cooling
and
sealing
during
the
compression
cycle.
After
compression
the
air-oil
mixture
is discharged
to the
oil
reservoir
where
most of the
entrained
oil is removed
by
impingement
and velocity
change
The air and remaining
oil then
passes
through
the final
oil separator.
The sep
arated
oil is returned
to the
compressor
oil system
and

Mixing
of different types or the use of inferior lubri-
