Fault Symptom
The status LED is off
after the device is
powered on.
The RJ45 port is
disconnected or an
error occurs in frame
receiving or sending.
The device does not function properly
Check whether the switch is properly installed
Check whether power cords are properly connected
Check whether the LEDs are normal
Check whether serial port is connected and whether
parameters are set correctly
Check whether port cables are connected correctly
Contact Ruijie technical support
Possible Cause
No power is supplied to the switch
or the power cord is loose.
The connected twisted pair cable is
faulty.
The cable length exceeds 100 m
(328.08 ft.).
The port is specially configured and
does not use the same working
mode as the interconnected switch.
Handling Method
Check whether the power socket in the
machine room is normal and whether the
power cord connected to the switch is loose.
Replace the twisted pair cable.
Check port configurations and check whether
the port works in the same mode as the
interconnected switch.
