To prevent damage caused by static electricity, pay attention to the following points:

Keep the indoor installation environment clean and dust-free.

Keep the indoor humidity within a certain range.
2.1.5 Laser
The RG-PF2920-DPBOX-P supports various types of optical transceivers available in the market, and these
optical transceivers are Class I laser products. Improper use of an optical transceiver may cause damage.
Therefore, pay attention to the following:

When a fiber transceiver works, ensure that the port has been connected with a fiber or covered by a dust
cap to keep out dust and prevent it from burning your eyes.

When an optical transceiver is working, do not look into its port after removing the optical fiber. Otherwise,
your eyes may be hurt.

Do not approach or look into any optical port under any circumstances. This may cause permanent damage to
your eyes.

Installation Site Requirements

The installation site must meet the following requirements to ensure the normal operation and prolonged service
life of the device.
2.2.1 Ventilation
The RG-PF2920-DPBOX-P uses natural heat dissipation. Maintain sufficient clearance around the device for
heat dissipation.
2.2.2 Temperature and Humidity
To ensure the normal operation and service life of the switch, maintain an appropriate temperature and humidity
in the environment where the switch is used.

Prolonged exposure of the switch to a high relative humidity environment can result in compromised
insulation of the insulating material, potentially leading to electrical leakage. Additionally, the mechanical
properties of materials may undergo alterations, and there is an increased risk of corrosion for metal
components.

Extended storage of the switch in a low relative humidity environment can result in the shrinkage of insulating
strips, leading to the loosening of fastening screws. Additionally, the occurrence of static electricity becomes
more likely, which poses a risk of damaging internal circuits of the switch.

Extended exposure of the switch to a high ambient temperature environment can result in amplified damage.
The elevated temperature accelerates the aging process of insulating materials, significantly diminishing the
