1. INTRODUCTION

1-1. Picture

UPS This UPS series is a dual conversion system with sine wave output. Supply continuous, stable, and clean
power for commercial and industrial needs. When utilities are lost, the UPS system will use batteries to
produce uninterrupted output.
The system implements an advanced digital controller to control the dual conversion system, and an isolated
transformer at the output to protect the load and the UPS itself. The UPS also has an easy-to-use LCD
interface and multiple communications including SNMP, Modbus, RS-232 and smart slots. Using software,
these UPSs can provide a complete power solution with remote monitoring and control.

1-2. Basic Structure

The entire system consists of REC module, INV module, static bypass, maintenance bypass and battery
controller. Output from the UPS is generated by a line insert or bypass with two SCRs operated in parallel.
The basic structure is shown as below:

1-3. Work Mode

This section will introduce the working mode of the UPS system.
1.3.1 Line Mode
When the UPS is working on line mode, the input air conditioner will be fixed by the REC module, and then
converted to output via the INV module. Meanwhile, the battery remains charged. In this condition, the static
bypass is in the standby position.
