When the patientQs eyes are liable to move, or when you cannot hold the measuring unit steady, usinc
the forehead rest makes measurement easier.
® Push the middle of the forehead rest in the direction as shown by the arrow in the figure 6-11 to sel
the forehead rest.
@ Gently place the forehead rest onto the patient's forehead and then adjust the measurement
distance by slowly pushing on the measuring unit.

If the forehead rest is not needed, return it to its original position.
