Installing the chassis in a standard 19-inch cabinet by
using a pallet or slide rail (recommended):
1. The S8610E chassis is very heavy (the heaviest one
chassis with fully line cards weighs more than 135 kg. It is
required to use a pallet to install the chassis switch in a
cabinet and the pallet is capable of bearing the chassis
weight.
2. Do not insert cards and power modules when installing
the device in a cabinet, to avoid increasing the chassis
weight or damaging cards.
3. After installing the device in a cabinet, use screws to
fasten the device to the cabinet. See the figure on the right
side.
