Flash-To-Pass System
This system enables you to quickly flash you r
headlights to signal your intent to either pass
a slower veh icle or to get the attention of ve-
hicles approaching from ahead.
Flash-to-pass simply by jiggling the turn sig-
nal toward you, using a fluttering motion with
your left fingers.
The lights can be flashed with the headlights
either open or closed.
• To flash the lights with the headlights
open and the low beam headlights on,
p ull the control lever toward s you twice.
Th is will engage high beam momentarily
and then retu rn the lights to low beam .
• To flash the lights with the headlights
closed, pu ll the control lever fully toward
you. The headlights will come on as
shown below, until the lever is released.

CLEANING THE PASSING PORT
WINDOWS
To clean the inside face of the passing port
windows, raise the headlights with the head-
light retractor switch , then open the hood.
Clean the port windows with a soft cloth and
clear water.
WARNING!
To avoid personal injury that might occu r
due to accidental lowering of the headlights
while you are cleaning the port windows, re-
move the proper 30A main fuse (see page
3-15) . You may also disconnect the nega-
tive battery instead of removing the fuse.
Remember that station settings memorized
on the radio will be erased if the battery is
disconnected.
