HAZARD WARNING FLASHER
Use the hazard warning flasher to warn oth-
er d rivers anytime your vehicle becomes
a
traffic hazard, whether day or night. It should
be used whenever emergency repai rs are
being made or when you r vehicle is stopped
near the edge of a roadway. Depress the
flasher switch, with the ignition switch
on or
oft, and all turn s:gnal lights will flash simul-
taneously.

Care must be taken when using the hazard

towed on
a
road or highway Local regula-

EMERGENCY STARTING
JUMP-STARTING WITH AUXILIARY
BATTERY
Jump-starting can be dangerous if done in-
correctly . Therefore. to avoid harm to your-
self or damage to your veh icle or battery,

follow jump-starting procedures If in doubt.
we strong ly recommend that you have
a
com petent mechanic or a road service busi-
ness do any jump-starting of your vehicle.
CAUTION
Use on ly a 12-volt jumper system. You can
damage
a
12-volt starti ng motor, ig nition sys-
tem , and other electrical parts beyond repair
by use of a 24-volt power supply (two 12-volt
batteries in series or a 24-volt motor gener-
ator
set).
WARNING!
• Keep al l flames away from the battery.
and avoid c reating any sparks near the
battery.
Gas th at ca n be exploded by a fl ame or
a spark is produced d uring normal bat-
tery operation.
