SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM
(Except convertible top models)
Lap Belt, driver only
As a reminder to the driver to fasten the lap
belt, the warning lamp will glow for about six
seconds each time the ignition switch is
turned to the ON position.
If the driver's lap belt is not fastened when
the ignition switch is turned to ON position,
the reminder buzzer will sound for about six
seconds.
Any time during the six seconds, the
reminder buzzer will stop sounding immedi-
ately when yo1J fasten the lap belt.
Shoulder Belt, driver and passenger
If either driver or passenger shoulder belt is
not buckled when the ignition switch is
turned to the ON position, the reminder buzz-
er will sound for about six seconds, and the
warning lamp will glow until both shoulder
belts are buckled.
When the ignition switch is in the ON posi-
tion and the shoulder belt is moving, the
warning lamp will glow. When the shoulder
belt comes in the rear position, the warning
lamp will go out .
(Convertible top models, driver only)
As a reminder to the driver to fasten the seat
belt, the warning lamp will glow for about six
seconds each time the ignition switch is
turned to the ON position.
lf the driver's seat belt is not fastened when
the ignition switch is turned to ON position ,
the reminder buzzer will sound for about six
seconds.
Anytime during the six seconds, the
reminder buzzer will stop sounding immedi-
ately when you fasten the seat belt.
If the system does not operate as described,
consult your nearest Authorized Mazda
Dealer.
