Setting Memory
Four adjustable memory
selections are
avail-
able
to
set
for recall
manually adjsuted
fre-
quency range output
patterns.
These can
be
used
in
addition to
the
preset ranges.
1. Press
the Frequency and
Level
selectors
to
adjust
the
bands
as
desired
as
outlined.
2. Press either
Memory
Selector button for
at least
two
seconds
until
M
1-
M4 ap-
pears on the equalizer
display.
Set
M
1-M4
as desired
.

call
the
memorized pattern after
setti
ng

NOTE
The
output
frequency
remains as selected
until the Preset
Sound or
Frequency
Selec-
tor
is pressed.

Frequency range explanations
60 Hz
This
controls
the
super low frequency
sounds. Th is can
prevent
masking caused
by road
noise.
125 Hz
This
controls th
e
low
frequency
range.
It
can be used
to
accentuate
bass sounds.
In addition,
by
lowering this
frequency
range, muddied
sound
response
from the
speakers
is minimized.
250
Hz
This co ntrols
th
e
mid/low
range which
is
the
central
area for musically rhythmic instru-
ments, such
as
the
drum
and
bass.
500 Hz
This
controls the
mid
range frequenc
ies
which
are the
central
area
for most
musical
instruments
and
human
voices.
1 kHz
This
controls the mid range (above 500 Hz).
3 kHz
This
controls the frequency range
that
sig-
nificantly
affects
hearing perception.
When
t
he
frequency
range
is too high,
it will
pro-
duce a hard and
metal
lic sound.
10
kHz
This controls
the higher frequencies.
It can
be used to improve
the
sheen
and clarity
of
sound reproduction
.

PASSENGER SELECTOR SWITCHES
(Except convertible top models,
if
equipped)
These
switches are
used
to make corrections
in the
sound's characteristics
and
its
loca-
tion
within
the automobile according to
the
number
of
passengers.
Passenger selector switch (driver side)
This
switch
should be
sw;tched
ON
to
adapt
the sou nd
's
location to
the
driver.
(The
indi-
cator
will light.)
Passenger selector switch (passenger
side)
This switch should
be
switched
ON
to adapt
the sound's location
to
the passenger.
(The
indicator
will
light.)
When both switches are switched either
OFF
or
ON
,
the
sound
is located at
the
center
of
the
interior.
