CHECKING ENGINE OIL LEVEL
NOTE
1.
Be sure
the
vehicl
e
is on
level ground.
2.
Warm up the
engine
to
the
normal
oper-
ating
temperature.
3.
Turn
the engine off
and
wait
five
minutes.
4.
Pull out
the
dipstick,
wipe
it
clean,
and
reinsert
it
fully.
5.
Pull
the
dip
stick
out again
and note
the
reading.
If
the
level
is
between
the F
and
L
marks,
it
is
adequate.
If
1t is
near or at the
L
line, add
enough
oil
to bring the
level
to
the
F
line.
Distance
between
the
Land
F marks
on the
dipstick represents the
following.
