WARNING

DO NOT apply combustible materials beyond the
minimum clearances. Comply with all minimum clear-
ances to combustibles as specified in this manual.
Keep finishing and construction materials clear of
the Heater and Heater discharge openings. Materi-
als could ignite and will interfere with air flow through
decorative fronts.
• Facing and/or finishing materials must not interfere
with air flow through decorative fronts, removal of
decorative fronts or access for service.
Flooring materials, such as carpeting and padding, and
other floor finishing materials must not extend higher than
one inch from the base of the appliance when the appli-
ance is mounted at floor level. See Figure 4.3.

Inside Fit Method (Required for FOLIO):
Typically, the inside fit method is only used when non-
combustible finish material greater than one inch is pre-
ferred (such as cultured stone). This finish material is
installed adjacent to the decorative front sides and top.
Do not install finish material greater than one inch thick
inside the 32-5/8 in x 36-1/8 in. appliance opening.
When installed, the back of the decorative front contacts
the black surround on the fireplace, thus the decorative
front is "inside" the adjacent finish material on the top and
sides. Refer to the decorative front installation instructions
for more detailed information.
Overlap Fit Fronts
Overlap Method (CHAF & HAL Front Only):
The Halston and Chateau Forge doors are designed to be
installed as "Overlap" or "Inside Fit". Finishing material that
is one inch or less (such as marble or tile) is installed up
to the fireplace opening on the sides and top. The back
of the decorative front contacts the face of the finish mate-
rial, thus the decorative front "overlaps" the finish material.
Refer to the decorative front installation instructions for
more detailed information.
