Installing the Backplane
Installing the Backplane into the Node
1. Ensure that all of the hard drive carriers have been removed from the bays in
the front of the node (see 6-5 Installing and Removing Hard Drives).
2. Ease the backplane forward, against the front of the node.
3. Align the mounting holes in the backplane with the holes in the chassis.
Replace the screws securing the backplane to the Node.
4. Reconnect all cables and return the hard drive trays to their bays in the front
of the motherboard node.
5. Return the air shroud to its position on the motherboard, reinstall the cover
onto the node, plug the power cord into the back of the power supply and
power up the system.
