TO TEST THE BLADE OPERATION
1. Position the tractor on a level surface.
2. Remove the battery packs from the box.
3. Insert battery packs (Fig. 8a):
a. Unlock the power-unit cover by grasping the power-unit
cover release button and pressing it slightly inward.
b. Start lifting the power-unit cover until the spring bar
engages and fully opens the power-unit cover.
c. Insert both battery packs as shown until they audibly lock
in place.
d. Close the cover.
4. Pick up one of the safety keys and sit down on the tractor seat
(Fig. 8b).
5. Insert the safety key into the tractor. Fully depress the
parking-brake pedal by foot and press the start/stop button
for 3 seconds simultaneously. The LCD screen will illuminate
indicating that the tractor is ready for operation (Fig. 8c).
6. Pull the PTO switch up to turn on the blade motors (Fig. 8c).
7. Slowly raise yourself off the seat, but do not get off the tractor.
The blade motors should stop.
NOTICE: If the deck-blade system fails to stop when the
operator is off of the seat:
a. Push the PTO switch down to turn off the blade motors.
b. With the parking-brake lock lever pulled up, fully depress
the parking-brake pedal to engage the parking-brake.
c. Disconnect the safety key and battery packs.
d. Lift the back of the seat and verify that the socket and the
plug are properly connected. Refer to step 4 in chapter
"INSTALLING THE SEAT".
If the cause cannot be determined after confirming the plug and
socket are properly connected, contact your EGO customer service
center immediately.
WARNING: DO NOT operate the tractor until the safety interlock
system has been repaired by a qualified service technician.
