DBS Receiver Mufti-Brand
Remote Control
The VCR's remote control can control functions on the brands
of DBS (Direct Broadcast Satellite) receivers listed below.
TURN ON THE DBS
RECEIVER
Turn the power on LIsJng the DBS receiver's remote
control.
ENTER DBS RECEIVER
BRAND
While holding down CABLE/DBS on the VCR's remote
control, press MBR SET and use the NUMBER keys to
enter the DBS receiver brand number from the chart in
the left column and then press STOP.
Follow the example shown below.
The DBS receiver's power should go off. If it does, try
other operations (c_' step 3).
e Once you have set the remote control to operate the
DBS receiver, you don't have to repeat this step urltil
you replace the remote control's batteries.
OPERATEDBSRECEIVER
First, while holding down CABLE/DBS, press the
corresponding button: POWER, TV CH +/-, NUMBER
keys.
• Depending on the DBS receiver you may have to
press ENTER after having pressed the NUMBER keys.
e To change the DBS receiver's channel, press TV CH
+/- or the NUMBER keys. (The CH +/- button can be
used to change the VCR's channel only.)
NOTES:
• Depending on the type of DBS receive_ there may be cases
where some or all functions cannot be operated using the
remote control.
• It's not possible to operate a DBS receiver that is not
equipped with a remote control sensor.
• Though ECHOSTAR has a number of different remote codes,
this remote control is applicable only to one of those codes
preset at the factory.
• It's not possible to set the remote control for both your DBS
receiver and a cable box at the same time. Ybu can only set
the remote control to operate one of these units at a time.
