Description
— Device and network printer communicate via an independent Wi-Fi
network
— Standard Wi-Fi components can be used
— Special security measures or network settings are not required
— Recommended configuration for easy printing, without the use of
additional network functions
— Device and network printer communicate via the company network
— All network functions of the device are available in the company
network
— The company network must meet the following requirements:
— DHCP server present
— Standard authentication methods allowed, no special security
measures are required to log in via Wi-Fi
Procedure
Check which configuration is suitable for network printing.

7.10.2 Setting Up Device for Network Printer via Independent

Wi-Fi Network
Requirements
— The individual user profile has the role "Administrator" or "Service".
— The network printer is connected to a Wi-Fi router.
Procedure
Test the suitability of the Wi-Fi router and Wi-Fi stick (for suitability, see

Chapter "16 Accessories", page 88).
Insert the Wi-Fi stick into the device in a USB connection.

Open the "Settings / Connections / Network / Wi-Fi" menu.

Press the [Edit] button.

Enter the service set identifier for the router under "Wi-Fi SSID". The

service set identifier is specified on the back of the Wi-Fi router.
