The steering wheel controls the position of the steer tires.
By varying the position of the inching/brake pedal, the operator can move the lift
truck slowly while a high engine speed is used for lifting loads. Completely
depressing the pedal disengages the transmission and applies the service brakes.
The brake lights will be on when the brake pedal is depressed during normal oper-
ation. On units with a pedal, the engine can be started when the inching/brake
pedal is fully depressed or when the parking brake is applied.
