9. Servicing, Maintaining & Transporting Robots
9.1. Inspecting & Cleaning
When the opportunity arises, the customer will:
▪ Clean the camera and light windows with a damp, soft cloth.
▪ Clean the charger plates and 4G antenna with a damp, soft cloth.
▪ Clear the area around the docking station of debris and leaves.
▪ Inspect the robot for visible damage. In particular, if the wire antennas are too bent they
should be replaced. New wires will be sourced from ExRobotics to maintain the robot's Ex
status. They screw onto their bases.
▪ Check the tracks for visible wear and obstructions. They'll be replaced if necessary.
9.2. Recovering Lost Communications
Occasionally, especially at new deployment locations, a robot will not connect to the internet. All
robots are equipped with short-range back-up WiFi to recover from this situation. To connect to the
backup Wi-Fi, a hotspot needs to be created in close proximity to the robot using the SSID:
"EnergyRobotics" and password: "EnergyRobotics1". Once the hotspot is active, the robot can be
powered on or power-cycled, and it will automatically connect to the access point. This will allow
Energy Robotics to investigate and resolve the issue.
