CAN bus
The VCU MS 50.4P has two CAN buses configurable as input and output. Different baud
rates are selectable. Please note that the VCU MS 50.4P does not contain any CAN termin-
ation resistors. Thus, the CAN termination resistors need to be integrated into the wiring
loom.
Ethernet channels
The VCU MS 50.4P has three 100 MBit full duplex Ethernet communication ports. The
ports are internally connected with an Ethernet switch. The Ethernet ports have 'cable auto
crossover' functionality.
RS232 port
The VCU MS 50.4P has one RS232 serial port dedicated to inbound GPS data.
Vehicle diagnosis connector
The Bosch Motorsport vehicle diagnosis connector is used as a standard interface to con-
nect the vehicle to a PC e.g. via a MSA-Box II. Loom connector: AS012-35SN
