the lever is really locked in place.
Note: the lever can only be locked into one of the ten
locking positions.
• Once the desired bevelling angle has been reached,
press the bevel montage table down in order to fix the
position.
• Should the desired bevelling angle not be one of the ten
presets, simply adjust the table to the desired angle by
pushing down the bevelling montage table release.
Slanted Cuts (fig. 18, 19)
Warning: In order to produce slanted cuts the blade posi-
tion must be fully brought to the left or the right. Otherwise
there is not enough room for the saw blade to be carried all
the way through and this can lead to serious injuries. For
extreme bevelled or slanted cuts the saw blade can also
run against the chock.
The right blade chock must be removed if the right slant
angle is used in combination with a right bevel that is
greater than 35°.
This chock must also be removed if a 45° slant angel is
desired in combination with a bevelled angle of more than
22.5°.
Tilt the saw head to the desired angle such as is shown on
the tilting scale. The blade can be positioned at any angle
from a 90° straight cut (0° on the scale) up to 45 left or
right. In order to bring the saw head into position, pull the
fastening lever (1). Slanted spring positions are available
at 0°, 33.9° and 45°.
Multiple Cuts (fig. 19)
• Place the blade chock into the desired position or re-
move, as necessary, the right blade chock.
• Establish the desired angle of slant by using the fasten-
ing lever (2).
• Establish the desired bevelling angel and adjust it. See
the section on bevelled cuts.
Basis Form Cuts (fig. 20)
Basic forms can be made vertically, against the chock, or
flat on the mounting table. Follow the table.
Note: For special ceiling moldings, the crown and mitre
box saw has a particular chock at 33.9 degrees. Should
this angle be desired, simply push the chock lever into the
slit and set the angle of slant at 33.9°.
Combination Cuts
A combination cut is a combination of a bevelled and
slanted cut. For this cut use the instructions above.

• Baseboards can be cut vertically on the mounting board
or flat on the table. Use the table.

Ceiling molding cut (fig. 20, 21)
• Ceiling moldings can be only be made with the crown
and mitre-box saw flat on the table.
• This crown and mitre­box saw has the particular bevel-
led chock for 31.6° left and right and a corner chock of
33.9° for special ceiling moldings, that is between the
back of the molding and the ceiling, which is to meet the
upper, smooth surface, with an angle of 52°; between
the back of the molding and the wall, which meets the
lower, smooth surface at an angle of 38°. For the cuts
necessary for such a ceiling molding, please consult the
following table.
Note: This special cut cannot be used with a 45° ceiling
molding.
• Since most rooms do not have an exactly 90° angle, a
fine adjustment is necessary. Always make a test cut to
be sure that the angle is correct.

Automatic Intake Cuts (fig. 22)
Warning: The operator must never pull the saw head toward
him or herself during operation. The blade could draw the
upper side of the material upward and cause a recoil of the
saw head with its blade.
• Never push the running blade down, until the saw head
has been drawn to the upper side of the sawn material.
• Release the slit blocking grip (1) so that the saw head
can move freely.
• Position the desired slant angle and/or the bevel angle
